Note: May require Prior Authorization .

• Indications: Renal Artery Ultrasounds, Venous dopplers (ordered as Vascular), ABI (ankle brachial index).

• Order the appropriate study in EPIC:

  • Renal Ultrasound "RENAL ARTERY ULTRASOUND (VASCULAR)"

  • ABI (INCLUDED IN PVRs): "LOWER EXTREMITY ARTERIAL PVR SEGMENTAL BP (VASCULAR LAB) [700020]"

• Ask patient to schedule appointments in vascular lab by calling (212) 731-6906.

• For AAA (abdominal aorta aneurysm) evaluations, use the order through radiology "US SCREENING AORTIC ANEURYSM" and ask patient to call (212)-824-7700.
